(2006-01-19) Webster Tinderbox Problem Solving
Mark Bernstein points to two notes by Tom Webster on Problem Solving with TinderBox. * I use Tinderbox for problem solving because it allows for divergent and convergent thinking on the same canvas.* (Convergence) It sounds like TinderBox may be better at diagramming a web/network, rather than the Hierarchal Structure typically imposed by Mind Mapping (though mind-mapping tools sometimes give you a way to connect outside the tree, those links are often 2nd-class citizens).
