(2006-04-29) Time Dropout Nation

Time Mag says that a third of US High School students Drop Out!

But will pushing these people to stay make their lives better? Will the piece of paper really make a difference?

Or maybe the point is that it reinforces how much the schools need to change their approach to (a) not drive people away, and (b) provide basic skills earlier.

Or is Time's data as weak as everyone else's, so we really don't know what's going on?
