(2007-01-23) Libby Trial Starts

Scooter Libby's trial for perjury in PlameGate has started. His defense seems to be (a) he may have mis-remembered what/when he said various things to various reporters, (b) they and others might also have mis-remembered, and (c) he's just the fall-guy to protect Karl Rove.

March update: he was found guilty of obstruction of justice and perjury. He'll be sentenced in June.
