(2007-06-29) Open Moko Progress

It looks like the OpenMoko is moving ahead with the Neo1973. Starting July 9th, we will launch openmoko.com and start taking orders. We're going to have two configurations... We're going to sell the Neo Base for $300. The Neo Advanced will be $450... You do not need the Advanced package to do normal kernel, or application development, only perhaps hacking on u-boot. No WiFi until the October models.

I'd probably buy one of these, except of course it's GSM, and I'm a Verizon customer because their network always gets higher Consumer Reports ratings thatn ATT's GSM network. Drat.
