(2007-09-19) Ecoli Safety Progress Report

Big Agriculture says things have changed since the 2006 E-Coli/spinach OutBreak.

The AP review found that since last year's E. coli outbreak, California public health inspectors have yet to spot-test for bacteriological contamination at any processing plants handling leafy greens.

A package of Dole salad mix ("Heart's Delight") that tested positive for E. coli has triggered a recall in at least nine states, prompting new produce fears almost exactly a year after a nationwide spinach scare.
