(2008-03-25) Friend Feed Api

Does FriendFeed's new API make it a contender as a competitor to Twitter? Is Open Twitter irrelevant if other companies use the Twitter API? Not if the whole EcoSystem depends on Twitter being the Single Point Of Failure.
