John McCain called for a "holiday" from the Gas Tax for the summer. What, to make it cheaper to drive to the beach?

Hillary Clinton jumped on that bandwagon. But Clinton distinguishes her plan by saying hers is paid for - by imposing a windfall profits tax on oil companies - and wouldn't bleed tax revenue from the Highway Trust Fund, which pays for repairing bridges and roads.

Barack Obama says it's a cheap gimmick. But doesn't seem to argue with the actual Economics of it.

Economist-s are against it.
