(2008-05-05) Open Twitter Winer

Dave Winer is building some services, to focus on having a MicroBlog RSS stream available to (a) be another channel to use when Twitter is down, and (b) archive tweets in case Twitter goes away.

Mike Arrington notes the work of Chris Saad on XMPP-based Get Pingd (PubSub).

Back in February Mickael Remond did some XMPP PubSub work. And he just used the Buddy List as a basis for distributing updates (not sure that's a great idea).
