(2008-07-10) Grasso Nyse Pay Suit

Dick Grasso was sued by Eliot Spitzer (when he was Attorney General of New York State) over his huge deferred-compensation package (Executive Compensation) as head of the NYSE.

Feb'2005: Stephen Bainbridge considers why Spitzer didn't go after Carl Mc Call, considering it part of a pattern of playing Robin Hood for the sake of his political future (just like Rudy Giuliani). He says the real issue is the broken Governance model at the NYSE. In May'2004, Larry Ribstein saw this as a case for deregulation of the securities industry, vs Bainbridge's recommendation to split NYSE in two pieces to avoid a Conflict Of Interest.

Jul'2008: Grasso won
