(2008-09-05) Bought Time Capsule
Went and bought a 1TB Time Capsule. Considered saving money, decided it wasn't worth making myself nuts, esp with my wife's machine having all out Digital Camera stuff on it.
Sept13: actually set it up and started it going. It's replacing the WiFi hub we had in place. Because of that, decided to just let it do its first Back Up via WiFi despite slower speed. It took 24hrs to back up 50GB - at 20hrs it said it was only half-done.
Have had WiFi hub and Cable Modem stored in a basket, with a lid, with other baskets on top of it. Obviously that's not going to do for a hotter item like a Hard Drive.

The problem is that to move it over closer to Jihi's desktop means dealing with that wall not having power nor Cable Modem. But already obviously have extension cord going over there for DeskTop, so power really isn't issue. I guess I'll pull along the EtherNet cable connecting the Time Capsule to the Cable Modem.
- argh, have to drag another EtherNet cable from the Time Capsule back to the VoIP box. Or else put the VoIP box over near the DeskTop too, which would require moving the handset/base over there, too.

moved just the Time Capsule, and strung 2 EtherNet cables back and forth.
Update (2009?): connected my HP PhotoSmart to it, can now share wirelessly across all computers in house.
