(2008-11-04) Fadell Leaving Apple
Tony Faddell, head of the IPod group, is leaving Apple Computer. He was credited by Fortune as the man behind the idea of a handheld music player (IPod) combined with a digital music store (ITunes).
He'll be replaced by Mark Papermaster from IBM.
At one point Fadell was considered to be on the short list of Steve Jobs successors.
