(2009-08-12) World Of Warcraft Patch Woes

World Of Warcraft has a required 3.2.0 patch which isn't installing properly (on MacOs X). It seems I'm not the only one having issues.

I've tried launching the patch-installer directly rather than through the main WoW app.

I seem to have DiskPermissions issues.

• some files seem not to be repaired, but I guess I'm not supposed to care.

Still didn't work.

Various instructions talk about deleting some directories. I deleted something I shouldn't have, and now the whole thing won't launch.

So I deleted everything, and am downloading from scratch. (Which you also see frequently as generic instructions.)

That did the job.
