(2009-10-01) Realtime Sistersites

I wonder whether one of the Real Time RSS-ping protocols like RssCloud would be useful for spreading Sister Sites updates around the WikiWeb? I don't think those updates really need to be Real Time, but might piggybacking an existing protocol be helpful?

Counter-arguments

• there are already a number of WikiEngine-s that support something in this realm. (Are they consistent in their implementation? Do they depend on P2P scraping of page lists, rather than sharing a hub?)

• trying to solve the Real Time thing may add pointless complexity to the WikiEngine code.
