Dave Winer is thinking about BootStrapping for

• a federated social network (Open Social Networking Model)

  • he thinks user Digital Identity should be DNS-based.

• a federated Open MicroBlogging network.

  • I Commented to ask what's missing from the array of existing features, and to wonder why he hasn't packaged a version of his River/Editor code as a Microblogging Client.

  • Chuck Shotton built something right away.
