(2011-01-13) Underwater Breath Holding Intelligence
Win Wenger claims you can get an Intelligence Increase and other mental and physical benefits (Self Improvement) from Held Breath Underwater Swimming. This should be well underwater across the bottom of the pool, because we find a distinct difference in response elicited between people who do this and people who simply swim head-down across the surface... An hour's total time under water, 2-3 minutes at a time, per day, over 2-3 intensive weeks should add an eventual 5-10 points "IQ" to your intelligence and an immediate increase to the richness and span of your awareness.
Back in 2009 Timothy Ferriss had a post on how to train yourself to hold your breath for 3 minutes in just 15 minutes, not in the water. It would be great if someone did a study paralleling the study Wenger looked at to compare the benefits of this short-cut. Or a combo of them.
