(2011-08-13) Bart Blocks Underground Cell Service To Disrupt Protest

San Francisco's BART agency shut down Mobile service within its system Thursday night to tactically thwart a planned protest over the recent (Jul03) fatal shooting of a 45-year-old man by transit police.

Anonymous made an attack on a website that is operated by an outside company and sends BART alerts and other information to customers.

Aug15 update: they kept mobile service operating during Monday's protests.
