(2011-09-15) Scoble Google Plus Identity Streams
Robert Scoble jumps off from Eric Schmidt's rationale for Google Plus's Real Name requirement into envisioning a Product Roadmap. It involves making better people- and content-discovery recommendations based on collecting 5 different streams (Life Streaming) of activity from the user:*
- App stores. The tools to use, the games to play.
- Notification streams (e.g. alerts on your Mobile). What is happening. Things you need to know.
- Activity streams. Metadata about what everyone did in the system and who is doing it.
- News and media stream. Who is generating media (posts, videos, photos, audio) and who is doing it?
- Pagination displays.*
I'm not sure this requires you have a single Real public identity, as long as Google can associate those 5 streams with you...
