(2016-02-17) Iphone Cell Dead After Update

Number One Son let his IPhone install an IOS update last night.

This morning it wouldn't connect to Verizon, for voice or data. WiFi still worked fine.

He managed to overwrite his old backup, so that probably won't help.

We just did a factory reset, and it seems like it won't talk to the activation server.

So he has an Apple Store appointment tomorrow.

Then I did some research and found some of the standard reset advice. He can try that tomorrow before going to the store.

Update: they fixed it at the store. "Corrupted download"?
