The study also identified the particular skills most in demand with Silicon Valley’s biggest companies. The most sought-after of these in 2017 was knowledge of Python, a programming language often used for back-end of web applications
Cornell University was the only Ivy League institution to crack the list, at No. 15.
The UC Berkeley had more graduates than any U.S. college score a job at one of the top 25 companies in Silicon Valley, according to a recent report from employment data firm HiringSolved. It wasn’t the only public university to make the top 10 list. In fact, only three private schools ranked that high: Stanford University (No. 2), Carnegie Mellon University (No. 3) and University of Southern California (USC) (No. 4).
