(2017-07-16) Amazon Working On A Messaging App

Amazon is reportedly working on a Messaging app called Anytime

Amazon also recently added voice calling and messaging features to its Alexa-equipped devices. Anytime appears to be a more ambitious product, one designed to compete against messaging apps such as Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp.

My theory: they want to offer a Messaging backplane for AWS developers, and this primes the pump of users.
