Study finds popular "growth mindset interventions," or programs that teach students they can improve their intelligence with effort -- and therefore improve grades and test scores -- don't work for students in most circumstances.

The first meta-analysis examined whether students' mindsets were related to academic achievement.

The second meta-analysis looked at whether growth mindset interventions increased academic achievement.
