EHealth
I'll use this label to connect various Internet-driven technologies changes in HealthCare: EMR, PMR, Online Prescribing, etc.
Journal Of Medical Internet Research (JMIR) http://www.jmir.org
variations on electronic record keeping
-
EMR - Electronic Medical Record - typically owned by institution (provider or payer), focused on interactions involving paid services
-
EHR - Electronic Health Record - broader data set, still owned by institution (hmm, some frame it as being the multi-institution version, like a RHIO)
-
PMR - Patient Medical Record - like EMR, but controlled by patient
-
PHR - Patient Health Record - controlled by patient, most likely to be broadest in data capture (Diet And Exercise logs, etc.)
Does any of it really reduce Medical Error?
