Michael Green: Part 1: My Life Is a Lie. Markets, liquidity, factor models—none of these ever felt self-evident to me. Markets are mechanisms of price clearing. Mechanisms have parameters. Parameters distort outcomes. This is the lens through which I learned to see everything: find the parameter, find the distortion, find the opportunity. But there was one number I had somehow never interrogated. The poverty line. (more)

Michael Green: Part 2: The Door Has Opened. The wealth you’re counting on—the retirement accounts, the home equity, the “nest egg” that’s supposed to make this all worthwhile—is just as fake as the poverty line. But the humans behind that wealth are real. And they are amazing. — Part 1. (Re (2025-11-23) Green Poverty Line Is A Lie) (more)

Dead PIM product, first released 1992. 1994 article says Victor Cruz, spokesman for Lotus Development Corp., says Lotus stopped developing Agenda after selling only 100,000 copies. They thought Agenda was too difficult to learn, so they bought a no-brainer program called the Threads Organizer (I guess this was Lotus Organizer) from a company in the United Kingdom. Threads looks like a notebook and a day calendar, so it is obvious what it does. Agenda is more subtle. Lotus has sold 450,000 copies of Threads. (more)
