  • anti-Chuck rant - Archaeopteryx revolves around MIDI. Chuck treats it as a footnote.

  • a response: Archaeopteryx is a MIDI source. It's indistinguishable from a drummer on wired drums, a pianist on a keyboard, or a DJ on a control surface. Input from any of these sources is meant to control a synthesizer... Chuck is made for signal processing (sound synthesis and analysis). Playing stored samples is one of the lamest things you could do with it. And Archaeopteryx does way more than trigger samples besides. In a lot of ways, they were made for each other.
