Taxonomy of Business Contexts

Could one develop a useful Taxonomy of Business Contexts?

Why?

  • mental nudge to recognize whether one piece of advice is transferable from a case study to your situation
  • explicitly design approaches to specific contexts
  • ???

This could never be perfect, but All models are wrong, but some are useful

It would be lovely if each "dimension" was a pseudo-spectrum, so you could think in terms of n-space - how "close" are these 2 contexts? (metaphor: LLM embeddings)

What might those dimensions "be"?

Maybe one of the consultant/writers like Roger Martin has some breakdown of business models?
