I've used it. Customization (beyond basic visual stuff) is nightmarish due to the byzantine tag language. Expect to hire a contractor. Good luck finding one.

That was most likely a long while back. In the last few years we've added a Professional Services department, greatly expanded the amount of customization (both cosmetic and adding features) you can do with web forms (no scripting), and added standard open source server-side JavaScript as a scripting language.
