market structure where the biggest organization makes almost all the profits, and everyone else struggles. (even worse than zero-sum game)
- of course, it's rarely a Single winner who takes all, it's more likely to be an oligopoly or duopoly than a monopoly
Can be a matter of Increasing Returns, or a fad-driven Lottery.
- software companies are often thought of this way because of the 0 marginal cost of production - otoh that ignores increasing costs of sales&marketing (CAC)
