(2003-07-31) Paul Snively Version Control
Paul Snively on Version Control System alternatives to CVS. If someone were to ask me to recommend one for everyone to use, I'd have to go with arch: the distribution, relative maturity, and CVS interop are tough to beat, and it really seems like the perfect roadwarrior system. Argh, but bad MsWindows support. It is true that shell is not portable to windows (modulo cygwin, which is a marginal solution).
