(2003-09-14) Presidential Position Inference

At the SixApart gathering yesterday, we were discussing 2003-09-09-PresidentialBloggingPriorities and 2003-08-18-GovernorsPresidentialEdge and Vote Smart surveys, and concluded:

• politicians don't want to be precise/explicit because any clear position has opponents, and

• maybe the only solution is for the bloggers to create inferred positions for each Presidential Election candidate, linking to supporting transcripts. That's an interesting idea, but could be like trying to decipher the DeadSeaScrolls.
