(2003-10-14) Michael Moore Dude Pomposity
I browsed the cover notes for Michael Moore's Dude Wheres My Country and found this comment: When the powers-that-be succeeded in ignoring-and then silencing-the nation's widespread dissent over war, one man stood on an Oscar stage and, in front of a billion people, outed the commander in chief for his fictitious presidency and his fictitious war. Now, just a few months later, those words have remarkably become the accepted truth of the land. This sounds an awful lot like Mike is taking credit for turning the tide in the nation's perception of the War On Iraq. What a hosebag.

i don't think he's taking credit for turning the tide....he's just basically saying that all of his critics were wrong, and that he was right
