(2003-12-16) Starbucks Bakery

I was just wondering, how does StarBucks get its baked goods? Obviously they don't bake on-premises. Do they operate regional bakeries? The answer is that they get (apparently) everything from OriginalAmericanScones, based in Chicago. They were privately held; then sold to HaviFoodServices/HprPartners in 1998. But Jeff Hopmayer, who took it over from his family, has since started Extreme Beverage/Players Extreme, which might get acquired soon.
