(2004-02-17) Barlow Fitness Launch
John Perry Barlow is playing Physical Fitness guinea pig for the Discovery Channel and the Canyon Ranch authors of Ultra Prevention (ISBN:0743448839 ). The first thing he learned is that it's not a moment too soon for him: The most striking features made visible by this radical disrobing were my coronary arteries, clutching my heart in a white lightning bolt of calcified plaque. It shouldn't have surprised me, but it was immediately obvious that I was a heart attack waiting to happen.
But man this kinda thing pisses me off: Aim for 5 days of Aerobic Exercise and 2 days of strength training weekly. Ack, you won't live longer, it will just seem that way...
