(2005-08-02) Wiki Gui Editing

Eugene Eric Kim points to an interview with Ward Cunningham supporting HtmlArea Wiki Editing instead of SmartAscii. It's worth noting that Ward specifically says (a) such an editor needs to escape the crummy little Text Area window (the editor really needs to pop up a full-sized Gui Html Editor window), and (b) it has to work the same for everyone. Is that latter requirement possible as people move toward Mobile devices?
