(2005-10-17) Open Source Language Fragmentation

I wonder whether one challenge/roadblock toward higher-in-the-stack Open Source apps (e.g. CRM) will be the fragmentation caused by having lots of Dynamic Language-s to choose from? If you're going to write a fast Web Server, it will be in C. If you're going to write a WikiEngine, it will be in your favorite language, eg. Python, Perl, DotNet, Java.....
