(2005-11-04) Bronx High Science Research Access
Bronx Science High School (Educating Kids In Nyc) has access to Elsevier's Science Direct journal article database.Teaching students the difference between secondary and primary sources, and how to find and read journal articles, is an important part of the curriculum at the Bronx High School of Science. These skills are even emphasized in a course in research literacy, which is a requirement for all students. Why doesn't Elsevier make that service available more widely for Exposing Young Kids To Science? At the inappropriate schools it just won't get used... (though of course there is some maintenance/support overhead...).
