(2006-07-10) Nyc Cupcakes

People take their Cup Cake Eating seriously in NYC. So far I prefer Cupcake Cafe to Magnolia Bakery. This comparitive review liked BurgersAndCupcakes, but others seem less impressed with both food categories.

Update: I said to Jihi the other day: there are 2 kinds of people in NYC: Magnolia Bakery people, and Cupcake Cafe people.

Jul'2007: read that Alt Coffee and closed and converted to Hop Scotch (for people Raising Kids). They have awesome cupcakes, and they're right across from Tompkins Square Park.

• Oct'2007 update: Hop Skotch doesn't carry those cupcakes anymore. And it turned out those were from BurgersAndCupcakes.
