John Heilemann and Fred Wilson think that Anthony Volodkin's HypeMachine is the future of the Music Industry. It sounds more to me like he's pirating blog entries, more than a Search Engine or Technorati does, and then linking right to MP3 files (which means the blogs getting aggregated don't get their pages seen). (Though the idea of niche-filtered Technorati-type services makes some sense, if you trust the human doing the filtering, or if he has a way of automatically discovering new blogs that are appropriate to add to his mix.)
