Is a IPhone a World Phone? Could Jihi use it (mostly) anywhere in the world? 2007-06-30-[[World PhoneRedux]]

Is it a Quad Band GSM? Yes.

Obviously we'd have to switch from Verizon to a GSM carrier.

If you buy an official ATT-locked phone you can't swap SIM cards for International Roaming and have to pay ATT rates. (See in comments that T-Mobile gooses you on Voice Mail too.)

I don't know how comfortable I am with Un Lock-ing the phone.
