(2008-03-19) Mac Book Fan

The fan on my MacBook goes through periods where it runs almost constantly. Then other periods when it rarely runs.

It's possible this is driven by whether I start up MAMP.

• some people find that GPU-heavy apps cause the fan to be needed.

I've installed Smc Fan Control to see what's happening. Right now 169degF and 6200rpm fan.
