Dennis Howlett suspects Social Software won't go far up the Adoption Life Cycle in the BigCo/Enterprise because the Core Group Culture wants to protect its Power.

I agree. Telling/selling yourself that your Enterprise sales will change the culture of the BigCo is delusional. It might help wake-up some of the worker-bees, though, leading them to seek free-er pastures. (But, hey, if the Enterprise market helps create "monetizing" Cash Flow for Social Software Start Up-s, that's a good thing. But a wearying game to play...)
