Google has announced its own Google Chrome Web Browser, based on both Mozilla and WebKit.

At least Google renewed it's financial arrangement with Mozilla last week, through Nov'2011.

A EULA nightmare.

David Berlind thinks the bundling of Google Gears is significant, esp to the Mobile/Android market.

Build with Google App Engine, use in Chrome on desktop or Mobile, go offline with Google Gears. Not a bad strategy.
