(2009-01-27) Enterprise2 Convergence
David Booth sees feature-convergence among the Enterprise-v2/Collaboration Ware companies. Some of the wiki players are moving towards social networking, some of the social network players are moving towards the wiki, and we're going to see a slew of search, tagging, and modules further convoluting the space and increasing the risk of commoditization. Next fad: Real Time Collaborative Writing. Ah, the pathology of committee-purchasing strikes again.
I wonder what the adoption/value levels are for the existing clients of any of these tools? (Of course, gaps aren't necessarily the fault of the tools.)
