(2009-03-02) Journalism And Newspapers

A couple random notes:

• most of what appears in a Newspaper (besides the ads) is not Journalism

• the key Big Idea for the Newspaper Industry over the past 50 years about buying each other out to create local Monopoly to protect Advertising rates.

So, while I think we all want there to be some journalism done, to feel like the newspaper is the only or even best way to make it happen seems a bit narrow-minded.
