(2010-06-19) Benson90 Day Transition

Buster Benson killed a Lean Startup yesterday. I think I’m going to give myself 90 days to either come up with, build, and become profitable on a new idea and business, or strongly consider re-joining the gainfully employed (DayJob) people of the world. Which, back in the day, I thought I’d never be able to do because I was too spoiled by the luxuries of self-employment (Free Agent), but it turns out that luxuries also mask dangers and anxieties that taunt us in the night.

He has a blog category to track his progress.

Jul22 update: he has fleshed out the plans for HealthMonth, a Real World Game (launching soon) designed to help you find that ever-elusive motivation that you need to improve your health (Physical Fitness). Here's how you play. It takes place every month. Before the month starts, you choose your own rules that you'd like to follow. These rules are flexible. You can decide to give up drinking altogether, or you can decide to limit yourself to only 30 drinks a week. Everybody's different, and everybody has a different health riddle that they're trying to solve for themselves. I think it's best to just let you do it how you want to do it, and build tools to learn, build momentum, and keep going. (He also notes his experience working with OAuth and other API-s.)
