Results from yesterday's election

• Republican Party regains majority in House Of Representatives, but not the US Senate.

• Rand Paul won.

• Russ Feingold (D-WI), champion of Campaign Finance reform and longtime opponent of the Patriot Act, has gone down in defeat against Republican businessman Ron Johnson... Wisconsin has one of the largest enthusiasm gaps of any state in the country. Although it appears Democrats will have turnout issues pretty much everywhere the problem is unusually severe in Wisconsin. Those saying they're likely to vote this fall report having voted for Barack Obama by only 3 points in 2008. He actually won the state by 14 points.

• Jerry Brown beat Meg Whitman for governor of California.

• Barbara Boxer beat Carly Fiorina.

• Andrew Cuomo won.

• Barney Frank won.

• Prop19 (Marijuana legalization) in California was voted down.
