In a Google Plus [thread](https://plus.google.com/u/0/111185848672556379969/posts/Z6w Hmzk A Ruz), John Mc Wade notes that Google's +1 button can be passed an HREF, so you could potentially offer a +1 for every node that has a Purple Number.
