(2012-01-19) Paleo Meal Services

It would be nice for me to lose, say, 25lbs. (I also want a pony.) I haven't had much success changing either diet or exercise.

Jihi mentioned that some co-workers are using a vegan food service comparable to Jenny Craig to lose weight. Of course, they live in Chicago itself, not out here in the boonies, so I don't know whether that service will cover here.

But it raised the obvious question of whether there's a Paleo Diet food service around here. Here's what I've found:

• Rsb Catering in Atlanta GA has a Premade Paleo service.
• Power Supply in Washington DC delivers Paleo meals to local CrossFit gyms.
• Chef By Request in Seattle and San Francisco has a Paleo service they deliver to your door.
• Catered Fit in South Florida has a Paleo option. Deliver Lean, also in Florida, has Paleo.
• Paleo Pop Up is a new venture starting right in Chicago going for a variety of structures (delivery, Food Truck, restaurant!).
• Chipotle and Moe's offer a Fast Food version, though I've never been that thrilled with either of them. And they're both 20+ minutes away.
• PaleoBrands has a few microwavable meals they ship.
• There are a variety of Paleo Snack Food lines, but they're not enough to be a Meal Replacement. (Certainly, it's easy for me to consume enough calories in nuts to qualify as a meal, but that doesn't meet enough nutrition needs...)
