(2025-08-10) Sticky Android Alarms and Timers

I need Sticky Android Alarms and Timers. When I set timers and alarms for tasks during the day, I often don't Do them immediately. Then I forget they happened. With the Timer app, it's even worse, since I can't even label a count-down in the first place.

The Habits app I use is pretty ideal. It can make a noise at the appointed time, and it pops a notification. I don't have to jump to turn it off, but the notification stays until I swipe it away.

I need multiple timers occasionally, but I can probably live without that feature....

Some options

  • can I set one-time items in Habits?
    • no option for 1-time event, so would have to go in and delete
  • I know Google Keep has alarms, but I haven't used them. Could that do it?
    • decent outcome, but too many steps
  • Google Gemini?
  • new app? rejecting....
    • TimerPlus: workout/cycle focused
    • multiTimer: silencing alert leaves no notification
    • Goodtime: pomodoro-only
    • KitchenTimer $28/yr? nope no labels
    • KitchenMultiTimer (maxim) - silencing alarm makes notification go away
    • KitchenMultiTimer (bunnybun) - silencing alarm makes notification go away
  • ok, sticking with for now
    • Multi Timer Stopwatch - if turn Notification for timer, then after you swipe it away to stop the alarm sound, a 2nd sticky notification comes up with the timer name..... this might do it. (though it feels annoying to have to "log in" to the phone to turn off the alarm)
