Commuter Train
Railroad Train for your Commute
Not SubWay, but between DownTown and Suburb
When I was in high school (1970s), I'd ride the Erie Lackawanna trains into Hoboken and then take PATH to Manhattan.
- it literally looked like the "sad train" scenes in Stardust Memories
- once I accidentally walked into some special car: my recollection
- cigar-smoke filled
- big ceiling fan (unlike the tiny rusted metal things in the main cars)
- big free-standing (plantation?) chairs around tables
- old guys with mustaches playing cards
- is this a false memory? No!. I swear it still looked like that!
