Oy, is he not kidding about "NewDeal" (urges us to think boldly about rebuilding the entire city, not just Lower Manhattan, and to do so in tandem with other Recession-wounded cities and states around the country). Lots of government programs, paid for by "our tax dollars".

Dean Allen liked it more than I did. But he's Canadian.

The good points:

• good coverage of the Corporate Welfare NYC has paid out over the years, with little to show for it.

• good history notes
